IELTS Exam Prep

The world is increasingly becoming more globally connected. And for those with the courage to pursue it, opportunities expand beyond borders. Communities are coming together to learn, collaborate, innovate and adapt.
One bridge, which connects those opportunities: is the English language.
What is IELTS?
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam is a standard accepted evidence of English proficiency by non-native English speakers in over 9,000 organizations from more than 140 countries.
Moreover, the IELTS exam has an international reputation as being the most widely recognized English test across the globe, due to its high quality and control criteria. The exam is used not only for immigration purposes, but also for education and professional reasons.

Prior to starting an IELTS prep course from Conley University, students must take an assessment placement test to assess each student’s current level of English proficiency.
The assessment test will determine the appropriate course level students are to be placed to best succeed on test day.
Students who do not meet the requirement to be placed in either Level B1 or Level B2 will be required to take a preliminary ESL (English as a Second Language) course. This is necessary to better prepare students for the higher degree of English proficiency, which is mandatory for either levels of Conley University IELTS prep courses.
For students who complete any of the course levels and underperform, or barely meet the minimum course objectives, Conley University may suggest to repeat the course, or to enroll in the next course level (B2) before taking the IELTS exam.
Upon completion of the assessment tests, students will be placed in one of the following categories:
Level A2
You become familiar with IELTS Test and practice the four core skills necessary to obtain the target score.
You learn key grammar rules & vocabulary to describe yourself and your matters for immediate need in simple terms.
You communicate well in everyday subjects with frequently-used expressions and basic phrases.
Level B1
You understand the basic core aspects of the English language, and are able to interpret main points of discussion in common social settings.
You are currently able to interact in most common situations where the English language is spoken.
You can relate and describe common experiences, and be able to reason by providing explanations and feedback.
Level AB2
You understand main points to complex and abstract details, and are able to comprehend and communicate on a technical level.
You clearly communicate with fluidity to hold a conversation, and interact with other English speakers in a variety of social settings.
You display clear reasoning to explain supportive and opposing viewpoints in a wide range of topics.

Each level (B1 or B2) is a 10-week online course, which begins on the first week of each month (for new students).
Students are required to study online three to four (3-4) hours per week and to complete all assignments.
The introduction session of the online course is instructed by private English instructors who will guide each student through the learning system.
During the remainder of the course, private instructors will routinely follow up with each student’s progress; checking grades, assignments, and communicating with students regarding any IELTS prep concerns.
Throughout the course, each student will receive the full support and assistance of both their private English instructor and the supporting staff of Conley University.
Supporting staff members will monitor to ensure that students are progressing smoothly according to each student’s IELTS prep schedule, and that all assignments and activities are completed.
Students must attend the required online web conferences (one-to-one sessions) with their instructor for all allocated times in addition to completing all online coursework. Students who do not complete all requirements of the program will not be eligible to pass and may have to re-take the course. Instructors may suggest additional tutoring hours for students who are not ready to progress to the next stage of their IELTS prep.
The e-learning system is an online educational management system with tailored course materials where students and instructors interact. Following enrollment, a unique username and password will be issued for each student to access the e-learning platform. When students login the e-learning system, students will be granted access to their current courses.
